Oyster Cove Restaurant & Bar

Restaurant Photography

For a lot of consumers shopping online is the first step for reviews and to create visual expectation. If you don't have good photos, you won't attract people and they will move on to the next site untill they are impressed. Having great photos of your meals and restaurant can paint a very important picture for you business including photography of your staff working, smiling, pouring drinks and genuinely showing what sort of feeling your establishment has can really convince people that you are what they are looking for.

From personal experience of working and managing a cafe I understand how challenging it can be to advertise in a busy industry. You know you have a great establishment with a good feeling environment and a chef that know how to impress but sometimes getting people in the door and letting them know you are here can be hard. Facebook is great for updates, new items on the menu and upcoming events but we all know photos speak louder than text, what's better? Text on top of a photo. You only really have a potential customer for a few seconds on Facebook. They are either impressed and take not or just keep scrolling. With a few witty words and a gorgeous picture of your latest special you could potentially get them interested and in the door.

Spot Jim Morrison?
Male model photo shoots are really fun and don't come around often for me.
I'm really keen for more. I don't even think you need to be necessarily confident, just willing.
These photos were taken in Bluff, NZ! A beautiful place I can happily call home with some beautiful surroundings and views, its a photographers playground.

Narnia Rose Maternity

Meet my beautiful sister Narnia!
This was another photo shoot that required the skill of many to create memorable photos of Narnia which she can look back on in years to come and adore. Maternity photography is so rewarding for me. I know how exciting and interesting it is waiting for the arrival of a baby and the feeling of being pregnant is one you need to record.

Nostalgic Bride

Nostalgic Bride

Styling a specific photo shoot has always been a goal for me so I decided to organise my own wedding! I know that my skill is behind the camera and know there are plenty of artistic and passionate people around me also wanting to create beautiful images. I decided rather than styling a photo shoot myself it was best to seek my favourite people in the industry and let them create for me based on the instruction that we were going for a very natural looking bride and groom.
Leaving everyone to their own creative flow meant this photo shoot was going to have a special feel to it!

I really enjoy wedding photography and have to always be mindful of time as the bride and groom have a big day and night ahead with plenty of guest waiting for them, I try and plan as much as I can so we can get as many beautiful wedding photos as possible without taking up the whole day. This is a great way for me to practise poses so I can bring them to a bride and groom for their wedding photos.

Baby Elizabeth

New born photography is something I think should be done in your own environment, it's still new for your baby. I don't personally like to pose a baby or place them in baskets. The most meaningful sort of images to look back are the real ones, the ones where you can see how tired you were, how you worked with your partner or alone, your home and your day to day activities which arrived with your new baby.

The trees are where you'll find me...
My all time favourite locations for portraiture is amongst the trees. The light is filtered naturally, the trees provide the best colourings for an uncomplicated backdrop which means full focus on the model. This is what I think makes a photo stand out. I have a hard time in front of props or stages because I just feel like it takes away from what i'm trying to do.
Madison did a beautiful job of this shoot. Her confidence was peaking!
